Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue: The condition of workers trapped in the tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand for 9 days is becoming very bad. In such a situation, food items like khichdi and porridge have been sent to the people after 9 days. So far, arrangements have been made to send them dry fruits and water. Let us tell you that on Monday, after 6 inch pipe was delivered to the people trapped in the tunnel, khichdi, porridge and oranges were sent to them. This incident happened on 12 November. At that time, 41 construction workers were trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel after some parts of it collapsed following a landslide.
Success in laying pipeline
After which people conducted a rescue operation for several days. Till now, during the rescue operation, light food items were being supplied to the workers through a 4-inch compressor pipeline. On Monday, rescue workers were successful in drilling the blocked part of the tunnel and laying a 53 meter long six inch diameter pipeline across the debris. After which more quantity of food items, communication equipment and other essential items can be supplied to the workers.
Khichdi and porridge given for the first time
For the first time on Monday, khichdi and porridge were delivered to the workers trapped in the tunnel of Uttkashi. While talking to ANI, Hemant, the cook who prepares food for the workers, said that for the first time hot food is being sent to them.
Earlier, no attention was being given to the food and drink arrangements for them. But on Monday Khichdi, pulses and fruits were sent. Along with this, material was sent to the people in bottles. Seven hundred and fifty grams have been sent for one person. Besides, fruits are also being sent to the people.
