Sam Altman: OpenAI’s ousted CEO Sam Altman is now going to join Microsoft. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella himself gave this information on social media platform X.
Along with Altman, Greg Brockman will also work with Microsoft. According to the information, Sam Altman and Brockman have created a new advanced AI in Microsoft. Will lead the resort team.
Satya Nadella said, ‘We are committed to our partnership with OpenAI. We look forward to getting to know and working with Emmett Shear and the new team at OpenAI. “We are excited to share the news that Sam and Greg will join Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team with their colleagues.”
It is noteworthy that the board of OpenAI company had dismissed CEO Sam Altman from the post on November 17. OpenAI stated the reason behind this is that the SAM does not communicate properly with the board making it difficult for the board to function.
Open AI co-founder and president Greg Brockman also resigned following the company’s announcement. Additionally, within hours of Altman’s dismissal, three senior OpenAI researchers—Jakub Pachocki, Alexander Madry, and Szyman Sidor—also resigned from their positions.
It is noteworthy that a statement issued by the company on Friday said, “The board no longer has confidence in his ability to lead Open AI.” Meera Murati, Chief Technology Officer of Open AI, has been appointed interim CEO with immediate effect.
