Paris: Former great French player Thierry Henry has praised his country’s young footballer Kylian Mbappé. He said that Kylian Mbappe has scored the 300th goal of his career at a younger age than legendary footballers Leon Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappé achieved the feat at the age of 24 years and 333 days in a 14–0 win against Gibraltar. Both Messi and Ronaldo, who top the list of the greatest footballers of the 21st century, were older when they achieved this feat. France Under-21 team coach Henry said, ‘What this young player is doing is beyond imagination. this is wonderful.’ Mbappé was compared to Henry at the beginning of his career. Both trained at the Clairefontaine academy in France before playing as left wingers at Monaco, where both won the French league title as teenagers.
Mbappe had achieved this feat by winning the same title in his first World Cup in 2018. Henry won this title in 1998. Mbappé has also been compared to the great Brazilian footballer Pelé because of his incredible playing ability, but his style of play, his speed and skills are similar to Henry. “Mbappé is also a goalscorer and an assister, he knows how to do everything,” Henry said. It is a different matter that there is always scope for improvement. Mbappe scored the 17th hat-trick of his career and scored a total of 21 goals in 19 matches played this season. This was the PSG star player’s 46th goal in his 74th international match. Only Henry and Giroud are ahead of him in the list of France’s top scorers. Henry is ahead of him with five goals, while Giroud is ahead with 10 goals.
