Travis Head: Australia has won the World Cup title for a record eighth time by defeating India in the final match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He won the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by 6 wickets.
The hero of Australia’s victory was middle-order batsman Travis Head, who ensured his team’s victory by scoring a brilliant century of 137 runs in difficult times. For this excellent performance, Travis Head was awarded the Player of the Match award. After receiving this award, Travis looked very happy and said many big things.

Travis Head was given the Player of the Match award for playing a brilliant century against India. After winning this honour, Travis said that he was initially nervous while batting, but his batting partner Marnus Labuschagne took all the pressure. They said,
“Today is a wonderful day! Very excited to be a part of this. It’s much better than watching the World Cup sitting on the couch at home. I was a little nervous, but Marnus played very well and took all the pressure. I thought the way Mitchell Marsh ran the game created an atmosphere and energy that we wanted.”
Travis Head further said, “It was a good decision to bowl first and the wicket got better as the game progressed. “It benefited us and it felt good to play a role in the win.”

In this match, Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first. This decision proved to be right for them and the Indian team was bundled out for 240 runs. For India, only Virat Kohli (54) and KL Rahul (66) were successful in scoring half-centuries.
Chasing the target of 241 runs, the Australian team also did not have a good start. In the first powerplay itself, he suffered three big blows in the form of David Warner (7), Mitchell Marsh (15) and Steve Smith (4). But after this, Travis Head made an excellent partnership of 192 runs with Marnus Labuschagne for the fourth wicket and ensured his team’s victory.
