MS Dhoni: A series of 5 T20 matches will be played between India and Australia from 23rd November. Team India’s squad for this T20 series has been announced late yesterday evening. The selection committee under the leadership of Ajit Agarkar has given opportunity to many young players in the squad of Team India. Suryakumar Yadav has been selected as the captain for this T20 series. The name of the player considered to be a disciple of former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is missing in the squad selected for this T20 series. Ajit Agarkar has not given this Indian player a chance to play for the team after taking over the post of Chief Selector.
Deepak Chahar did not get a chance
Deepak Chahar’s name is not included in Team India’s squad for the T20 series against Australia. The Chief Selector has not given a chance to Deepka Chahar in the team for the T20 series. In their place, the names of Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar are included in the squad as fast bowlers. Talking about Deepka Chahar, he played his last match for Team India during the Bangladesh tour last year. After this, the team management did not give him a chance to play for India despite performing well for the team.
Deepak plays for Chennai Super Kings in IPL
Deepak Chahar started his IPL career for Rising Pune Supergiants. After which Chennai Super Kings included him in their team in the 2018 IPL auction. From then till now, Deepak is seen playing only for Chennai Super Kings in IPL. Deepak Chahar played an important role in making the team the IPL champion of the year 2018, 2021 and 2023. At present, Chennai Super Kings gives Rs 14 crore to Deepak Chahar for playing every IPL season.
The balance of Team India’s playing 11 can be improved.
Team India needs more and more all-rounders in the playing 11 of T20 format. In such a situation, if Deepak Chahar plays for Team India in T20 format, then along with bowling, he can also give runs to the team in the last few overs. If this happens, then there will be an option of lower order batsmen in the team’s playing 11, which is very important to build a strong team in today’s T20 cricket.
